Who Is Jesus?

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. John 20:31 (NIV) "But these things are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in His name.

He came to earth, born of a virgin. Isaiah 7:14 (NIV) "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: The virgin shall be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel."

He lived a sinless life. 2 Corinthians 5:21 (NIV) "God made Him who had no sin, to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God."

Jesus died on the cross in our place. He hung there between heaven and earth with His arms open wide for you. Luke 23:46 (AMP) "And Jesus crying out with a loud voice, said, Father, into Your hands I commit My spirit! And with these words, He expired."

He rose again. Matthew 28:5-6 (NIV) "The angel said to the women, 'Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay."

He intercedes for us (pleads our case with God the Father. 1 John 2:1 (NIV) "My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have one who speaks to the Father in our defence - Jesus Christ, the Righteous One."

He will be with us always. Hebrews 13:5 (NIV) "...Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

Jesus is coming again soon as the triumphant King to claim His people. Revelation 22:20 (NIV) "He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.' Amen. Come, Lord Jesus."
